Media Specialist Technology Integration Leadership Project

Hi Everyone,
I am working on a grad project for online adult learning that focuses on media specialists and youth service public librarians. The assessment and evaluation part of the project includes developing an online survey. Even though you are not taking the course that I am in the process of developing, I would invite you to take the survey and post any feedback as to how to improve it.

 

The purpose of the survey is to gather elearning participants' (media specialists and youth services public librarians) prior knowledge and professional practices concerning their role in the integration of different forms of technology into lesson plan delivery at their school. They will take the survey prior to their first face-to-face meeting with the course facilitator. I hope to use the analysis of the survey results to use as a discussion launch and to post them in our first Discussion Thread.

Participants would be emailed the following message along with the survey link before taking the survey:

 

Hello (Student's Name),

Welcome to the course, Media Specialists and Youth Services Librarians: Working With Teachers to Select the Right Technology for the Right Lesson Plan. To learn more about how you and your school faculty work together to integrate technology into your teaching staff's lesson plan delivery methodology, I would like for you to complete the survey, Working with Teachers to Select the RIght Technology for the Right Lesson Plan located

at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BBG28YT, prior to our first face-to-face meeting. It will take you approximately five to ten minutes to do so. While your individual responses will be kept confidential, the analysis of the compiled survey results will be discussed during our first session and posted in the Week One Discussion Thread.

 

The purpose of this survey is to gather data to analyze how media specialists and public librarians work with school administration and teaching staff to recommend the best Web 1.0 or Web 2.0 online tool to support lesson plan delivery. It is important for each participant to complete this survey to guage how each participant uses Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 technology integration and 21st Century Learning skills prior to taking this course.
