With digital cameras readily available and reasonably priced, they are a great tool for adding creativity to classroom assignments.  How can your students use pictures to make their projects more interesting?

In Tech & Learning, Ellen Ullman has a blog--Photo Ops: 10 Innovative Ways to Use Visual Media--with ideas for using visual media in the classroom.  This is a list of the options she discusses in her blog.

1   Produce public service announcements.

2   Study textures.

3   Do an interactive book report.

4   Learn about machines.

5   Go on a scavenger hunt.

6   Write an autobiography.

7   Promote healthier habits.

8   Improve scientific skills.

9   Act like a CSI.

10 Lights, camera…

I look forward to reading your ideas for visual media projects.
