Good afternoon! I'm Wes, I'll be your host for this post.
Whoa! A rhyme! How appropriate considering some of the topics in this blog post!
Some of you know me. Most of you don't. Yet. But we can change that.
As my little bio there states, I am one of the editors of ReadWriteThink.org. I try to maintain a little blog elsewhere, but we also have an audience here and we'd love to get to know all of you, our Thinkfinity friends. So I'm going to cheat a little and cross post info sometimes. The point of the posts are to highlight new releases from ReadWriteThink and give you some insights into what we are working on right now behind the scenes. We love feedback and suggestions, so feel free to drop me a comment if you have ideas. You know what you are using in the classroom, after all!
OK, so I introduced me, introduced the reason for the blog post...now, let's jump in to some of the cool things the editors of RWT have been working on this summer:
Maybe you noticed the release of our new Alphabet Organizer and Venn Diagram interactives. They launched just before summer. However, what you might not have seen is that these are now available as mobile apps on Google Play and iTunes store.
We recently released a new version of our popular Timeline interactive. The app version is releasing soon.
|The tomato example. Relevant for RWT Editors: Most of us grow our own tomatoes!|
And now the reason I said the rhyme in the beginning was somewhat appropriate to the post. Some of our favorite and most popular interactives are being "app-dapted" (get it? Turned in to apps!) right now. Which ones? RWT's poetry suite: Acrostic, Diamante, and Theme Poem will all have app versions releasing in September (if we hit our deadlines, which I can't imagine us missing without some sort of terrible calamity).
I've got even more apps and interactives in the works. I'll hold off on releasing details of those until next time, which should be in a week or two. If I manage to keep up with my desired post-every-couple-weeks schedule.Though really, with all the neat stuff we are pushing out soon, I might need to post more often.
OK, so one little teaser about the project I was working on today:
