Science NetLinks lessons are great for teachers looking for complete lessons. It provides a purpose, introduction, teacher sheet, student worksheet, and material list. The lessons are usually short, clear, with step by step directions. Most often there are additionals such as discussion points, extensions ideas, and assessment tools.
I would say it's definitely important to talk about all the standard content partner resources, but be sure to show a couple interactives and Science Updates. I would also point out all the dynamic features/resources of the site. The Science NetLinks Educator Blog is updated a couple times a week. We offer daily Science News and a weekly Science News for Kids articles so look for those on the home page and News page. The calendar also provides great motivation ideas. The site is always changing so it's worth coming back and just taking a look around.
Oh and our Science Updates and Tools are now written to the student so they are student friendly and can be incorporated into your instructions as such.
