I love how the "I Think" blog addresses issues that students obviously care about. I feel like the hardest part about creating educational blogs is that sometimes students feel like its work, not like they are actually learning something.
For the technology project, are we specifically creating a blog centered around our content areas? My certification specialization will be in English, so I am wondering if I am to take an existing unit and transport it.
Thats the blogging assignment that you are talking about. I share your concern when it comes to blogging. But my answer to the question:why blog? is Why not? Blogs are such powerful multimodal tool for self expression.
Anyway, you will be working on your blogs in next module. In TIP project you will decide upon, plan, and develop an instructional plan that incorporates technology to enhance online communication, collaboration, and learning. This project is designed so that you can work with your peers to develop and improve upon your instructional plan.
Please refer to the TIP project description on ecollege. In case you have any questions please email me.
I apologize but I'm still confused on the outcome of the TIP projects step 1 and 2 vs. the TIP Project Proposal.
On the ecollege website it guides us (Technology Implementation Project step 1) to explore and critique the given websites and research additonal website as well. In step 2, it asks us to define the instructional problem and analyse it using the 6 prompts to guide our response. Then, at the end it states:
"This can be a two page word document approximately 700-800 words. Please define your problem, complete your analysis and share with classmates in Thinkfinity small group by Feb 6th. Continue to work on your proposal."
The TIP Sample that was given on the main post follows the proposal of the Technology Implemention Plan which is listed under step 3A of the TIP description. This also states the 700-800 word limit. The google calendar states a due date for the TIP step 3A + 3B as Monday, March 12.
Can you please clarify if we are to complete both the analysis and the TIP proposal by Feb 10? Or are the analysis questions a guide for completing the TIP Proposal? Or is the TIP proposal (part of 3A) due on March 12.
