After Ellen posted the news about Glogster no longer being free, I wanted to send along this update that I received in my email a few minutes ago. Apparently having a teacher edu account will generate a code that your students can use to register themselves for free individual accounts. I guess this is their way of trying to make up for the trouble they caused with students not being able to have accounts under their teacher's account. I don't know if I like having students create their own accounts (it's much easier to take care of your students accounts within your own) but it's something. I suppose an alternative would be for the teacher to create the free individual accounts for his or her students to use but it appears to be a lot more work for us teachers nonetheless!
Next week, Glogster.com will be moved to a new server infrastructure to prepare for the debut of the NEW Glogster.com, and migration to Glogster EDU will be impossible. If you would like to migrate, please do it now.
The decision to migrate your account from Glogster.com to Glogster EDU is final. If you decide to migrate, your Glogster.com account will convert to a Glogster EDU Single Free teacher account. You will see a Teacher Code on your Dashboard.
We are unable to migrate student accounts. If your students are also registered on Glogster.com, direct them to the Glogster EDU student registration page. They can use your Teacher Code to register for new Single Free student accounts.
Again, if you would like to migrate to Glogster EDU, please contact us at email@example.com your username and registered email by Saturday, October 29.
