It would like to see ones that show real world applications for various math topics. These could be used in the classroom as introductions. Such as a builder using blueprints to model scale factor or a pharmacist demonstrating the need to be able to convert between units of measure.
Useful "real world" apps could be the math used in Physics and chemistry, for example.
Or social science class. So that we could work with the science teachers to help kids get ready for manipulating formulas, for example.
On the other hand, great problems that are motivating don't have to be attached to the real world, as long as the kids are intrigued. Math can be a little abstract for the real world, but still fun.
Things like Origamics (which I learned about at the Reasoning & Sense Making Institute,) for example. With the math buildt in. Or puzzles (also from the RSM Institute http://nikoli.com/en/puzzles/yajilin/)
