Which standards do you align to a lesson plan teaching life skills?

This topic came up with a group of teachers and we weren’t exactly sure which standards to add to a lesson on life skills. Has anyone found a good alignment between teaching life skills and the Common Core standards? I know this would vary depending on which reading or writing activity the students are doing in the lesson so I am looking for more general tips. Thanks!

PS- After further thought on this question I posted yesterday, I think the bigger picture is that teachers need tips on how to search the Common Core standards. For example, many teachers have a key word in mind, which in the example I gave above was "life skills". Using their state standards teachers could open up a pdf with all the standards included, do a "CTRL F" and search for the word "life skill". Then the screen would jump to the standard that covered "life skills". So now I have two questions:

Which standards do you align to a lesson teaching life skills?

What are some tips for how to find the Common Core standard to apply when you have a specific topic in mind?
