This month during Hispanic Heritage Month, I found it interesting to learn about the different Hispanics that made an impact in our world. One lady in particular is Dolores Huerta who fought for the rights and improved working conditions for grape farmers. PBS has a remarkable series called Makers that highlights the accomplishments of women. You can hear from Dolores Huerta herself on the Makers website.
Have you gained any new knowledge about Hispanic icons while reading the wonderful resources found in our community such as our feature titled Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month?
