Keeping Kids Inspired During the Holiday Break with Wonderopolis™
Is there a way to keep their minds engaged while they’re away from school? Absolutely! Take a daily trip with them to Wonderopolis
during the holiday break. Why are all snowflakes different? Why do
people kiss under the mistletoe? What are the Northern Lights? Explore
answers to these—and many more—interesting “wonders” each day in
Wonderopolis. Each new Wonder of the Day® presents a curious question, a
related video to spark interest in the topic and fun activities in
which the whole family can participate. Just because they aren’t in
school doesn’t mean the learning—and the fun—has to stop!

- Being Safe Online - A Call to Action by Tami Erwin, Area President for Verizon Wireless.
This year’s Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) annual conference
focused on Internet Freedom, Safety & Citizenship. Ms. Erwin
delivered a speech that addressed life in a world of 24-hour
connectivity.
- Get Caught Green Handed by James Gowen. I recycle. Do you? This
year Verizon celebrated America Recycles Day during which communities
and businesses across the country come together to celebrate recycling,
raise awareness and pledge to increase their recycling habits at home,
at work and on the go.
- Closing the Health Care Gap by Audrietta Izlar, Verizon Benefits Manager. In a Q&A with Ms. Izlar, we learn about Verizon’s four-part strategy to close the health care gap.
We’d love to get your feedback on these and other articles posted on the
