I believe that the U.S. did indeed have the right to bomb Japan. The Japanese were hard-headed and so stubborn, as we had asked them nicely to surrender before, twice. Had they agreed, then we would not have right to drop the bomb on them. However, their denial led to us forcing them to give up in the most gruesome way possible, breaking their spirit to fight back.
Yes it was right to drop the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, because without dropping the bombs on Japan they would have never gave up and surrendered the war, so the dropping of bombs told Japan hey we can control and take over your country if we want. Also it was right because it was getting Japan back for bombing Pearl Harbour.
The United States was justified in dropping the atomic bomb in Japan. The reasoning I believe it is justified because Japan had bombed the United States at Pearl Harbor. Even though it caused a lot of damage Japan knew what was going to happen if they did not give up. Japan also caused a lot of damage to the United States. The United States keep their word and dropped the bomb.
I believe that the US was justified in the bombing because Japan had bombed Pearl Harbor prior to this. We had done nothing to anger them except for cutting off trade with them. Dropping atomic bombs on Japan saved money instead of planning an all out attack which would cost us thousands of dollars. The dropping of bombs also crippled the japanese and kept them from attacking, ending the war.
I believe that the U.S was not justified even though Japans actions were horrific and brutal, abomination of any nation is wrong and the bombings of Hiroshima were no different. It caused much death and strife. Along with the fact that the Japanese were already pretty much defenseless and had many defeats under their belt. We were basically kicking them while they were down. They not only killed soldiers but innocent children and woman as well.
I believe the atomic bomb drop on Japan was not justified. The fact that the U.S dropped two atomic bombs , not one, and destroyed 3/4 of all of Japan is the reason. Even though Japan bombed Pear Harbor, HI does not mean that dropping two bombs was justified. It would have been fair only to drop one, but two was a bit unfair. They did have the right to bomb Japan twice.
Yes I believe the US was right in dropping the bombs on Japan. It was the only way to end the war with Japan because due to earlier battles the Japanese proved that they would never surrender even with death being the outcome of not surrendering. We left many warnings to empty the cities or surrender many days before the bombing and the Japanese did not do either so the did pay the consequences for their pride.
