Anyone out there looking for an iPad or iPhone app to help teach subitizing? I would love for you to try Counting Together, an app developed for this purpose. Counting Together is a prehistoric-themed game to help kids learn subitzing. It's fun, fast-paced, and ideal for keeping kids engaged while they learn this critical skill. It was even endorsed by Sesame Street legend Bob McGrath!
The basic Counting Together app is free for iPad and iPhones at the iTunes Store. We're very excited to hear what local teachers think of the app, and how we can make it better!
The graphics in this game are awesome! I like the ability for more than one person to join in (for those of us who are competitive). Have you thought of an arcade mode? I also thought that the transitions (bird announcing I had 15 more rounds) were slightly slow, but overall, the game was very fun!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad that you like the look and feel, and yes, we are always working on optimizing the performance. Would love to know how your kids liked it! You never know about an arcade version...
