Should cell phones be allowed in class?
Information is free. We have a responsibility to teach the students how to access and utilize information.
Yes, we should be teaching students how to use cell phones as a resource in the classroom so that they have the tools to use them as a resource outside the classroom.
Not in an elementary setting
Not an issue when there is no service and students are not allowed on the wireless network.
Only if all have equal access.
Yes, not only do I want kids to learn 21st Century skills, but as a parent, I WANT to be able to contact my kid!
There are times when cell phones are a great instructional tool
I have concern that students will attach to the school network and eat up band width.
Cell phones can be a valuable instructional tool in the classroom.
If you can't beat them...join them! Allow them and use them as a resource...stop fighting the NO CELL battle!
