I personally believe that the North one the war for various reasons. One being that they had many key advantages over the South. The much larger population of the North provided more soldiers. They also had most of the nation's factories and shipyards. Not only that, but they had a better network of railways, which allowed more efficient transportation. Finally, the the Union was able to raise more money to spend on the war. Due to these many advantages they probably had an even better chance of winning the Civil War. Even without these advantages, people with more authority were with the Union. One of thse powerful people being the president of the United States.
The North won the Civil War because they had a larger population and was able to have a bigger army. They also had lots of machinary that was able to help produce their weapons in a larger quantity and faster than the south could which helped them have the advantage. They also were able to use their black men to be soliders and not having to make a difference.
The north won based on many things: they had better trained soldiers and commanders, better supply lines like more railroads, and better factories and companies to make their war necessities like gun powder, guns, and clothes. One major thing that the north had was their skilled generals led the north at the Battle of Gettysburg. These leaders pinned and forced the south by waves of cannon and gun fire at the south to force the south to Picket's fence; where the south became slaughtered and cut off to formely force Robert E. Lee to surrender due to low amounts of troops and end the Civil War.
