I am Jinny Hoden from Little Egg Harbor Township School District. I teach Computer Literacy to students in grades Kindergarten - 6th grade. I am a Thinkfinity Trainer, so no need to say - I LOVE THINKFINITY! I am also on NJEA Technology Committee. I am looking forward to seeing you at the convention.
Hey Karen and Friends!
My name is Carol Cherson. I am a retired (?) New Jersey teacher now working as a Trainer, Coach, and an adjunct professor at Drew University. I am enjoying this new life and look forward to each new venture that has been coming my way. See you soon, Carol :-)
I am mso (Marie)...I was introduced to Thinkfinity just about a year ago...I am co-owner of Reaching English Language Learners group and look forward to interactions with other NJ educators and to promoting the benefits of Thinkfinity. My school district is River Vale...
Thanks for this group, Karen!
Happy you joined. Thanks for mentioning the Reaching English Language Learners group. Our ELL teachers especially will be interested. Suzan Cole, one of our NJ Thinkfinity trainers has presented for the past 2 years at the NJTESOL conference. Perhaps you attended.
Have you checked out the latest from content partner Wonderopolis? I heard from a middle school principal how her school discusses the entries across the content areas.
Look forward to future posts from you,
I'm Karl...6th Grade teacher in Tuckerton (southern Ocean County).
Just finishing some curriculum writing for the county with a colleague who recommended Thinkfinity.
Looking forward to shedding my newbie status and figuring out how to use the tools here in my classroom.
Congratulations on completing your curriculum. I know you'll find many Thinkfinity resources to enhance implementing that curriculum. There are free online webinars and tutorials to help you become better aquainted with what's available.
NJEA's Tech Institute will have a Thinkfinity session on Aug. 2 at Stockton - another option.
Always here to help.
Looking forward to your postings,
Bonjour tout le monde!
A French teacher at East Brunswick High School, NJ, I also have the good fortune of having been trained to be a Thinkfinity trainer. I am looking forward to the NJEA Convention this November 2011. I extend an energetic invitation to anyone interested in learning about the Thinkfinity Community and the vast wealth of resources available at Thinkfinity.org!
My name is Linda and I thought I had joined this group, but I don't see my name list. What an oversight. I am a technology coordinator for a 8-9 school in Essex county. My responsiblities are endless:) I also provided district professional development. I just became a certified Mimio Trainer in June, which I am so excited about. I share Thinkfinity at ever PD I present or attend. Looking forward to being a memeber of this gropu.p
Ugh, I thought I already introduced myself. Sorry! I already shared some of this on another Thinkfinity group. Thought I'd go ahead and add some of the additional information here.
My name is Erica Boling. I'm an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at Rutgers University in New Jersey. My research looks at the role of technology in education. I've recently been supported by the Verizon Foundation to create 3 online courses that educate teachers on the uses of technology in K-12 classrooms. We are integrating Thinkfinity into these courses, and we also have a Thinkfinity community that was created for each class. The first two courses that we developed is currently being taught. The third course is currently in development and will be offered this spring semester.
Here is more information about the project...
Here is a link to more information about our new program...
And here is a short video introduction that I've used with my students at Rutgers. I made it using Animoto. It shows my more personal (rather than academic) side.
My name is Margaret and I am a teacher in Morris County. I started to look into Thinfinity because of school's PLC this year. A few of us will be traveling down to AC this November to the NJEA convention. I am looking forward to some of the presentations at the Thinkfinity Classroom.

I teach Technology Education at a school in Essex County to students in grades 6 through 8. I'm a 25-year Mac user and I'm always looking for new tools and resources to bring into my classroom. Thinkfinity has some great resources, as well as some great tools for organizing those resources, and I'm looking forward to sharing with my colleagues

It is nice to meet you through this group. Your studies of horticulture seem so interesting. What professional opportunities/work will you seek once you have your degree?
Do you plan to stay in NJ?
PS...You may want to join another Thinkfinity group - Reaching English Language Learners....
Most of us work with students learning English and may have some resources to help you continue with learning English. What is your native language?
