Many libraries offer wonderful summer reading programs. Do you take advantage of these?
Some schools even compete in summer reading programs. Students can log minutes read and keep track of how their school is doing against others in the area.

I try to read with my high school students! They love having me read out loud to them even though they are teenagers. OK, maybe love is exaggerating, but it does make it more fun. Then, as a treat, we'll rent the movie if there is one at the end of the book.
