I was going to write a grant for one to use with my smartboard. I borrowed one from our librarian to try it out. I could not figure out how to make it interactive with my smartboard. It put everything on the screen but we couldn't write or highlight on it. Another teacher at my school could not make it do that either. There probably is a way to capture etc. then write but I admit that I am not all that technology savvy. Anyway I instead decided a scanner would work better for me so I went with that.
If anyone knows how to make the document camera work interactively with the smartboard let me know so I can pass it on to my colleague.
I have trained middle school teachers to use an Elmo, but I am not working there at present so I don't have the Elmo to write directions for you. However, I know the Elmo will work with a SmartBoard. I found some online sites plus a document that I have attached that may be helpful.
Please let me know if any of these directions work. If not, I'll try to research this in more detail for you.
