Here is a great question:
Does anybody know of a set of lesson plans or a lesson plan template geared for using iPads in the classroom? I don't want to recreate the wheel. However, I am starting to use iPads in the classroom and thought about creating a specific (simple) lesson plan template that would describe the iPad lesson of the day. For example, the first lesson would be "An Introduction to the iPad" in which I would teach the students basics about iPad operations. The second lesson would be a simple assignment using a specific app. etc. etc.
Does anybody know if there is already a set of iPad lessons available or a template to create iPad lessons?
Have you posed this question to the iPad group? This group is full of individuals currently using or planning to use iPads in their classroom. With iPad experts all in one place, I am sure this group will have some great suggestions for you.

No. I will go do that now. Thanks for the tip!
However in just the short time I asked this question, I made up a very cool little solution to my problem. It is very efficient, handy, and easy to use. I will share my creation after I get more experiencing using this method. Then, I can fine tune it before looking like an idiot. LOL
I am looking forward to hearing more about your creation.
I did run across some iPad Guided Tours that were created by Apple. These short videos would be a great introduction for students or parents who want to learn more about the specific apps that come with the iPad. You might also use these videos as a guide for your own creations.
Crystal (and anyone else),
I know about the Apple videos and I have no problem thinking of ideas for lessons. That is not what I am asking. I wanted to know if anyone knows of iPad lessons "in print" or in template form. In other words, a lesson plan that is already typed and include things like Objective, Relevance, Procedure, etc. etc.
I haven't run across many iPad specific lesson plans. Back when the iPads first launched, CUE offered an iPad in Education Workshop. On their website, they offer some VERY basic lesson ideas that can be modified to meet a variety of curriculums. I'm sure you have already have stuff way better than this!
Let's see if anyone in the iPad group or in the community can lead us to some additional resources.
Thanks for the compliment, but I am ready to look at anything and everything in regards to iPad lessons. After searching, I didn't find much. However, I am creating my own "mini-lessons" so to speak. When I get my ideas it up and running, I was thinking of doing a video about how I am starting from scratch. So far, it is going well. However, I am only creating iPad lesson ideas to correspond to my own art lessons. I don't think they will be of much use to others. However, I do want to drive the point home that iPads can be used to bolster ANY lesson in all subject areas. I will try to show how this can be done in my future video.
I love that you sent me this link, but it appears to be a paid for a workshop kind of deal. I don't want to take a workshop. However, I appreciate the thought and tip!
Great idea, Sheree!
The link is to a paid workshop; however, if you click on "Events" and then select an event from the list, you can get the agenda, resources, links and ideas for FREE! Although the general idea is the same, you may find different links and resources for each workshop. I definitely think they are worth a look.
Keep the good ideas coming!
I have been working on iPad lessons this year. I have samples and my step-by-step process on my site: techchef4u.wordpress.com.
Would love to see yours and others as this lesson process takes shape.
I currently own and operate an iPad learning service for elementary aged children called BrainiApps. I have several detailed lesson plans which include; standards, objectives, materials, etc. I am currently in the process of creating a downloadable PDF file for each lesson I create. In the meantime I would love to send one your way for possible critque and feedback. When the PDF files are up and accesable I will also let you know. Checkout my blogs and website as well for some ideas.
Hope this is helpful
