This August, celebrate Children's Eye Health and Safety Month to help raise awareness about preventing eye injuries in children, vision loss, and general eye health. Kids can make a game of testing their visual reaction time with the interactive Zap!, hear how scientists can measure the way we process language by observing people’s eye movements in the Science Update Eye Tracking, and learn the science behind Camera Red-Eye, Nearsightedness, and Reading in the Dark. Students also can explore the concepts behind laser eye surgery in the lesson Lasers Saving Sight and hear how researchers are studying the eye’s unique Transplant Tolerance to someday help organ transplant patients.
