On Saturday, March 26, at 8:30 p.m. (local time) turn off your lights for Earth Hour 2011! This international event, organized by the World Wildlife Fund, urges individuals, businesses, and governments to turn their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. Encourage your students to participate and discuss ways to make a difference beyond those 60 minutes. This collection of resources focuses on energy conservation and global climate change. Students will learn about light pollution, the lifespan of human-made products, and how energy sources affect our environment and our budget.
