Current EIPA 3.5 or RID
Associate Degree any field
Counties will no longer keep up with credentials.
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission will do this.
MAYBE systems can apply for a 3 year waiver in which time them must meet the requirement.
Effective October 2012.
Here is how Frank worded it:
"The PSC is proposing to take our current requirements (EIPA 3.5 within the last 5 years or any RID certification) adding a two-year degree to it, and slapping their license on top so human resources folks will recognize it. I drafted the rule, and they added the degree part.... I think districts would be able to get waivers for up to three years to allow folks to complete the two-year degree."
