My Stuff is located on the gold navigation bar at the top of any Community page. Here you will find quick access to all of your individual participation within the Community. This area contains the following quick links:
The Overview is a summary of Your Latest Content: links to any discussions in which you have posted, comments regarding documents you have uploaded and most recent Private Messages.
My Favorite Resources is a list of all the sites, activities, lessons, documents, discussions and/or blogs that you have marked as a Favorite Resources. If you have not already installed the "Add to Thinkfinity" bookmarklet, you may do so from here by using the "Install the button" link located in the lower right corner of this page. Note that a list of your most commonly used identifying tags is also available here in the right navigation pane.
Blog Posts, Discussions, Documents, Polls and Updates
Each of these links brings you a list of your most recent activity in each area. Any blog posts you have published, discussions in which you have posted, documents you may have uploaded, polls that you have created or status updates that you have submitted can be found quickly and easily by selecting the relevant link.
A list of the Thinkfinity Communities You Are Following can be found by selecting the Communities link. Beneath the name of each Thinkfinity Community you will find links to that community's most recent activity. This is an easy way to catch up with your favorite discussions.
Remember, the Thinkfinity Communities: Professional Development (inlcuding the Trainer Toolbox), The Lounge, Verizon Thinkfinity 101 and the Help Center are the public and open communities created by Thinkfinity Staff for all members. If you are looking for a specific member created Group, select Groups from your My Stuff menu.
Your Groups is a list of the member created groups you are following. Beneath the name of each group you will see a brief summary of the most recent activity for that group. You can jump to a specific group or discussion within a group simply by selecting the group name or discussion title.
Notice along the right side of these groups you will find a list of your Community friends and groups they have joined. If any of these groups sound interesting to you, simply select the group name and jump directly to that group for more information.
Also within the My Stuff menu you will find a list of people that have been confirmed by you as a Friend within the Community. Here you can find a link to each individual's profile plus links to any recent activity your friend has had within the Community.
In this Your Friends area you can modify email preferences regarding notifications of a friend's activity, confirm or remove contacts from this group or send a private message using the Community email feature.
If you have any invitations to become a member's friend or to join a member created group you will be notified by the Thinkfinity Community. A list of these notifications can be referenced here.
Email Notification Preferences detailing exactly when and why you wish to receive an email from the Community is found beneath your My Stuff > Preferences. You may wish to be notified when other members of the Community comment on your posts, documents, polls or updates. Simply select Yes or No to each email notification prompt. You may return and modify your selections at any time.
General Preferences controlling how you wish your discussions to be formatted, your language preference and your individual time zone can be modified by using the menus located beneath the General Preferences tab.
The Private Messages link will bring you to your Private Messages: Inbox where you will find an overview of your personal communications. Links to your Inbox, Sent folder, Drafts folder and Trash are all located within the Folders window.
Sending private messages to members of the Community is easy. Here you will be able to create new messages using the Compose Message link, organize and sort your messages using the Manage Folders link, maintain a list of contacts in the Address Book and follow the feeds of your contacts with the Private Messages RSS Feed.
Each member of the Community has the opportunity to share a simple biographical profile. You can create and edit this profile using the Profile link from the My Stuff menu. To edit your profile and modify your privacy settings, choose Edit profile & privacy from the Actions menu on the right side of the page. You can also modify your Community email preferences from this Profile homepage. Simply select Manage email notifications from the Actions window on the right side of the page.
Here you will also see a quick overview of your most recent activity within the Community. You can navigate to favorite discussions or resources quickly by selecting the links with your Recent Activity list.
Quick links to any recent private messages can also be found on your Profile home page. Selecting a specific messages subject link will bring you directly to the message in your Private Messages Inbox.
