Technical Requirements
A Webinar is a live, interactive session, delivered via the Internet and a telephone connection. Webinars allow educators to participate in training from their schools or homes, as long as the basic technical requirements are met.
- Attendees must have separate telephone and Internet lines
- Attendees should have a high-speed Internet connection
- A hands-free phone or speakerphone is recommended
- Cellular telephones are not recommended
- Attendee computers must have at least 256k of RAM
- Attendees should download the following plug-ins prior to the session: QuickTime, Flash, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Shockwave, and JAVA. The Help page provides a description of these plug-ins as well as links to installation information.
- Attendees should use a recommended operating system and browser:
- Windows Vista, 98, 2000 SP4, XP SP2, and 2003 R2
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 SP1, 7.0

- Troubleshooting tip: if WebEx does not automatically install at the start of your session, manually run the automated installer and click the Set Up button.
